From a single idea in Kolkata, OES was born from a simple but powerful observation: India had millions of young people willing to work hard, but the skills and opportunities they needed were nowhere near them.
A small group decided that wasn’t good enough. What began as a modest initiative grew naturally as each trained youth finding employment proved the model worked.
Without grand plans, OES expanded because the need was deep and the impact real — every success story pushed the mission forward.
Apps, virtual classrooms and digital tracking were introduced — not to replace people, but to reach more learners faster.
Today OES operates across 29 states and 100+ districts, having trained over 123,000 young Indians.

In 2007, OES was born from a simple but powerful observation: India had millions of young people who were willing to work hard, but the skills and opportunities they needed were nowhere near them. A handful of dedicated people decided that wasn’t good enough.
What started as a small initiative in Kolkata quickly grew — not because of grand plans, but because the need was so deep and the results so clear. Every young person who gained a skill and found a job became proof that this model worked.
Over the years, we expanded into new states, new sectors, and new ways of learning. We embraced technology — building apps, virtual classrooms, and digital tracking — not to replace the human touch, but to reach more people, faster.
Today, OES operates across 29 states and 100+ districts. We have trained over 123,000 young Indians. We have partnered with some of India’s biggest corporations — HDFC Bank Parivartan, Indian Oil, Samsung (Dost), ITC, Crompton, Castrol, NPCI, Diageo, LIC Housing Finance, Bajaj Finserv, Five Star Business Finance, and many more. And we have earned recognition from NSDC, Skill India, and industry bodies nationwide.
But the journey is far from over. India’s skilling gap is enormous. The opportunity ahead is just as big. And we are determined to keep showing up — for every young person who needs us.
