Globally, skill development is seen as critical for productive employment. It is crucial for boosting productivity, developing the private sector, promoting inclusive economic growth, and reducing poverty. Economic diversification and a structural shift toward high-productivity industries are required for long-term poverty reduction. This necessitates a workforce that is more adaptable and well-trained, which can promote both local and international investment.
According to studies, in order to produce a workforce that is both effective and sustainable, it is necessary to increase a variety of skills that make people more employable while also creating a system that will improve the competitiveness of the private sector. A future-focused, adaptable, and all-encompassing education system for lifelong learning can help alleviate young unemployment, which is caused by a mismatch between educational system supply and employment market needs, in part.
In India, developing one’s skills has been regarded as a crucial component of job generation. With more than 60% of the population under 25, India has a special demographic edge.
However, in order to reap the benefits of such a huge workforce, employability must be enhanced.
Through partnerships, collaborations, and the outsourcing of CSR activities, strategic contributions to capacity building and community development are increasing as education and skill development become the most popular type of CSR activity. Upskilling is now necessary as a result of greater awareness of work and entrepreneurship.
Orion offers custom-built Industry Endorsed Placements Linked Skill Training for the population who is less socially evolved. The caliber of the training for 20 industries and 90 Job Roles is of paramount importance to us. The courses are created in accordance with the Sector Skill Council’s (SSC) Sector Skill Qualification Framework (NSQF) for each employee role.
