The OES Research & Policy Team is the research, documentation, and policy analysis unit of Orion Educational Society (OES) — a registered NGO and NCVET Awarding Body working on skill development, vocational training, and youth employability across India. Since 2006, Orion Educational Society has operated one of India's largest NGO-led skill development networks, spanning 29 states, more than 100 training centres, and over 1,37,000 trained beneficiaries. The Research & Policy Team draws on this deep field presence to produce credible, evidence-grounded content on India's skilling ecosystem — content grounded in programme data, government policy, and community experience rather than secondary summarisation.
